About
Veteran First Transition Assistance

After 20 years in the Navy serving aboard fast attack submarines, I learned firsthand that military service leaves little time to prepare for life after the uniform comes off. Ten years after my transition, I realized too many veterans and their families were still facing the same challenges alone, navigating VA roadblocks, translating military experience into civilian careers, building resumes, and understanding processes most civilians take for granted.

That’s why Veterans First Transition Assistance was created. We are a nationwide network of veterans, business owners, government resources, and civilian professionals dedicated to helping you successfully transition into your next mission. From career guidance to support for your family, our team stands ready to help you move forward with confidence, purpose, and the support you’ve earned.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is simple: prepare Service Members to transition with confidence, clarity, and a real plan. professionally, personally, and medically.

Our Role in the Transition Process

Veterans First is not a replacement for the Department of Defense TAP curriculum or other government-provided transition services. Instead, we serve as a force multiplier extending and reinforcing what Service Members learn by providing hands-on execution, personalization, and mentorship that traditional programs cannot offer on a scale.

All designed to support a successful, sustainable transition into civilian life.

Designed by veterans who have successfully made the transition themselves, our program goes beyond check-the-box requirements.
